As Central Coordinator, I would introduce a solid combination of organization and flexibility, abilities acquired through my experience as VP of Marketing at AIESEC. There, I wasn\u2019t only ensuring brand visibility; I was coordinating my team, handling timelines, ensuring synergy, and that we deliver good work. I have also attended many case competitions, which fine-tuned my capacity for thinking strategically on the spot and articulating ideas to numerous groups of people. Additionally, handling complex school projects prepared me to lead groups, meet deadlines, and keep things going even when plans change. I believe I am the best candidate for Education Coordinator for the 2025-2026 Concordia chapter because of my dedication and deep connection to ACSioN’s mission. I bring to this role a passion and a vision for creating inclusiveness in a space that supports our unique identities and needs a community. I understand the importance of creating an environment where black students feel seen, supported, and inspired to excel, which was the driving force in creating a club called Colour is Excellence in high school. The goal was to create a space where people of colour can take pride in who they are and who they can become. This club was ultimately started due to the lack of care and recognition of Black students, and I wanted to let those who are new to the school know that they are not alone and there are spaces where they can grow and be seen.<\/p>

I believe ACSioN has a similar mission. Empowering students of African Diaspora to grow into their fullest potential and have the courage to step into spaces that were not originally built for them in mind.<\/p>

Being a part of the 2024-2025 chapter as the assistant Education Coordinator helped me create a deeper passion for serving and uplifting the Black community. The schoolyard in Barbados was always full of noise, shouts, laughter, the thud of shoes on dusty ground. I stood off to the side, quiet and withdrawn, the kid classmates teased for being small, different, and too smart, as if I were unfit to lead. Their words stung, but what hurt most was realizing I believed them.<\/p>

That isolation followed me for years until one evening during the COVID-19 pandemic. Alone in my room with only the hum of the fan, I dropped to the floor and started doing push-ups. My arms trembled, my breath burned, but for the first time, I felt bigger, stronger, and in control. Those shaky reps weren\u2019t just about muscle; they were about rewriting the story I had been told about myself.<\/p>

Push-ups became workouts, workouts became discipline, and discipline became confidence, contagious enough for my older brother to follow suit. Thanks to working out, I grew bold enough to step forward, get involved, and embrace opportunities to learn and contribute. I realized real growth begins when you push past limits, building yourself from the ground floor. Taking initiative, I learned, is the purest act of leadership, the kind that inspires others through action, not words.<\/p>

That\u2019s why I\u2019ll be the best candidate<\/span> for the 2025\u20132026 ACSioN-Concordia executive board. I am applying<\/span> for my preferred position on the ACSioN-Concordia executive board because I believe my professional experience, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and contribute make me a strong candidate<\/span>.<\/p>

Currently, I work as a claims associate at Walmart, handling claims, donations, stolen items, and returns. I also manage the accounting office on weekends. This role has strengthened my organizational, analytical, and financial management skills, while teaching me the importance of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork. These abilities align well with the responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Coordinator and will enable me to support ACSioN effectively.<\/p>

While my community involvement is not immense, I have volunteered both when I was younger and more recently with AFCAS. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication and collaboration skills, which would be valuable for any role, especially Assistant Outreach Coordinator.<\/p>

My name is Haregna Rafolisisoa and I am a first-year international student who moved to Montreal this past January. Joining Acsion is very meaningful to me because the club fosters a sense of home away from home, something I value as I adjust to a new environment and community.
I am particularly interested in the position of Assistant Executive Outreach, as it aligns closely with my strengths and passions. I have always enjoyed creating connections with people, both within and outside of my immediate circle, and I believe this role would give me the opportunity to expand those skills in a purposeful way. Outreach work excites me because it combines communication, relationship building, and the chance to represent a collective vision to a wider audience.
Although I do not yet have extensive experience in any of Concordia\u2019s clubs, I am motivated to grow in this area and eager to contribute actively to student life. I believe I would be an excellent Assistant Coordinator for the 2025-2026 ACSioN-Concordia executive board based on my wealth of leadership experience, organizational skills, and commitment to student engagement. As a John Molson School of Business student majoring in Finance, I have developed the skill of juggling numerous priorities while ensuring academic success. Being in the role of School Partnerships Coordinator has provided me with the chance to gain effective communication, negotiation, and inter-stakeholder working skills that can be applied directly to the task of the job.<\/span><\/p>

As an Executive member of the Student Association at Coll\u00e8ge Jean de Br\u00e9beuf, I successfully planned and executed events, conducted administrative tasks, and communicated and managed finances.
